The Abbott Room - The Inn at the Round Barn Farm

The Round Barn had a large pre-Christmas project in store for the Vermont Pro team.  In five weeks they wanted us to completely make over five rooms in time for a Christmas wedding.  Done deal - someone get out the "easy button."  In the first of the projects Stefan is working away in the Abbott room stripping wallpaper, repairing the sheet rock, painting, and installing new fixtures.

The Terrace Room - Inn at the Round Barn Farm Inn

The Terrace Room at the Round Barn had an outdated bathroom complete with a plastic shower insert and awful off white tiles.  In the image below Greg is working hard to tear up all the tiles and remove all flooring, stripping the entire room down to bare bones.  Once the room was stripped, plumbing had to be re-done to meet code, walls insulated and blocked, and then the new tub could be installed and pitched; from here electrical locations were changed and sheet rock, backer board, and tile were all installed.  Before the project was completed, the ceiling and walls were painted, fixtures and baseboard installed, and the vanity and toilet hooked up.

The Game Room - Round Barn Farm Inn

The Game Room at the Round Barn Farm is now complete with a bar which can entertain their guests while they play pool, watch movies, and relax.

The Jones Room - Inn at the Round Barn Farm

The Jones Room, at The Round Barn, was another room in need of a bathroom update.  The original insert shower had to go, new plumbing had to be installed, and the flooring completely ripped up.  When it was all said and done, Jones looked great!  In the process, a custom base was poured for the shower, corian shower walls installed, a european wall-mounted shower unit with jets, new flour slate floors, re-vamped vanity, new base board, and a fresh paint job.  In the picture below, Ben is working hard to frame out a hip wall and insulate the shower before backerboard goes in.

The Isles Bathroom Remodel

Chris and Betsy Isles have a great Vermont farmhouse that was due for a bathroom remodel.  The new bathroom is underway and being thoroughly overhauled with a complete demo, new insulation, a brand new ceiling and venting, reinforced floor joists, radiant heated floors, new tiles, wainscoting, and gorgeous fixtures.  Stay tuned for the final product!

Round Barn Richardson Room

In early December, the Round Barn had the Vermont Pro team overhaul and renovate several rooms throughout the Inn.  One of the rooms, the Richardson, had to have a new Kholer jacuzzi tub installed with a Corian surround, new corian counter-tops, and a sink and faucet.  Feedback on the tub has been positive, as it is clean, simple, and easy for two people to soak in and enjoy the wintery view.

 

Bancroft

Gib Geiger of Mountain Valley Farm built his client a great post and beam addition to their home in Waitsfield and he had Vermont Pro Painting come in to finish of the project.

Nothing like a medallion to make a space

One of two new ceiling medallions recently installed at the Round Barn.  Both medallions are solid wood carved pieces that carry a nice weight to them and really help to make the space.

Tolchin Bathroom Remodel

Marty and Susan have a great place right on the mountain at the Bridges Resort that was in need of a remodel; dated wallpaper, cheap vanity, tiny plastic shower insert, and nasty tiles left them needing the VT PRO touch.  We set out to completely demo the bathroom, stripping it right down to the studs, and rebuild looking to improve with a more contemporary feel, increase the efficiency of the heating, water pressure, and insulation.

The final product included new framing, new insulation, a custom poured base/shower, new plumbing, new electrical, pebble floored shower base, Vermont slate floor, and topped off with French White walls and Linen White trim.

Bardes Home

The Bardes home in Lincon is gorgeous home with a classic style that lent itself well to a subtle contrast of gray and white.  The subtleness combined with the roof color really added a great deal of dimension to the house showing off the trim work and design well.

The walls were done in "Owl's Gray," the trim in "Chalk White," and the doors were capped off with a high-gloss Evergreen.  Thanks Dave!

O'Halloran Deck Construction

In the process of updating the O'Halloran's house with a fresh new look, we discovered the support beams and header for their wraparound deck were rotting away. Thirty years of Vermont weather had done it's damage. To cap off this transformation and remove the weathered portions of the deck, we rebuilt the supports, and then finished off the project with a fresh stain over the entire deck.

Partnering with Charley Goodman Excavation, our deck re-build consisted of setting up a temporary support system, removing the old supports, jacking the deck, pouring new footings, installing the new supports, and capping it all off with a few decorative touches. Once the transformation was complete, we coated the deck with Ben Moore's new Arbor Coat - 'solid bodied stain.'

At the end of the day, we were able to sleep well knowing that our customers had a strong and safe deck for their kids to run around on.

South End Brownstone Renovation

A few years ago I worked with D.H. Bardes, Inc. on a very impressive transformation of a six story brownstone in Boston's South End. From start to finish, each of the six floors was completely gutted, stripped, and rebuilt from the ground up. As you can see, it was quite the overhaul.
