Green Mountain now lead certified

Green Mountain Professional Painting is now a certified lead inspection and removal company according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). If you have a home that was constructed before 1978, lead dust and lead-based paint pose a serious health risk to young children, pregnant women, and anyone who comes in contact with it. Across the nation lead poisoning often goes misdiagnosed as symptoms of ADD, ADHD, and various learning disabilities in young children (including reduced IQ). Pregnant women in a lead- based environment can transfer lead to their fetus. In adults, low levels of lead poisoning can lead to high blood pressure, hypertension, and a decrease in sexual performance.
Call Green Mountain Professional Painting today, and we will be happy to test your home for lead (802.917.1780). We are committed to providing the families of Vermont and New England with a safe and beautiful living environment.

Big Picture Restaurant

The Big Picture Theater and Restaurant recently closed down for three days to allow the Green Mountain Pro Paint team to come in and do what we do best. The ceiling and entrance was in need of newly taped sheet-rock seams and spot patching. A fresh coat of primer, two coats of ceiling color (Dove White), and two coats on the walls (Seam Foam Green) were applied and the crew finished on time. The restaurant now looks great and is ready for business.
Thanks Claudia!

Boston's South End

Philip and Eirc have an incredible apartment in Boston's South End that had seen some aging and was in need of a professional touch. Over the years the building had gradually shifted giving way to massive cracks in the plaster while the paint had aged significantly. (Video at the bottom of this posting walks you through project)
After extensive repair to the plaster, sheet rock, ceiling, and wainscot both the clients and I were very pleased with the end result; China White (semi-gloss) trim, Ceiling White (flat), and Khaki (flat) walls.

This combination of colors and architecture created a very modern and sophisticated feel to the apartment.
Thanks again Philip and Eric!
Here is a quick video of their apartment during the prep stages. Gives you a good idea of the amount of work that went into wall repair.

Drew's Room Gets a Makeover

The family ended up heading to the Caribbean for a quick get away which gave the Green Mountain Paint Team a chance to get in and spice up Greg and Sheryl's oldest sons room. As you can see the previous color was in need of some help. The son wanted the room to feel larger so we went with Faded Denim walls and a Nova Scotia Blue accent wall (two shades darker than the Denim). Thanks Guys!
