Warren Church Restoration, phase one complete.

The Warren United Church is a historic centerpiece of the town, and community, of Warren.  For many generations, past and present, the church has been a strong part of the community providing services, weddings, and town gatherings.

After several long months of lead remediation, extensive carpentry (replacement of siding, trim, and entrance molding), and detailed painting, the Vermont Pro crew is proud to add the restoration of the church to our portfolio and would like to extend a special thank you to the Warren Church community.

A few action shots depicting the extensive work that went into this project; another posting further down shows the lead remediation.

... In progress. Inn at the Mad River Barn

The Inn at the Mad River Barn is under new ownership and in the middle of a very impressive makeover with Birds Eye Construction and VT PRO.  Doors will open for business this winter.

Stay tuned for more.

Kramer Residence

In September of this year the Vermont Pro construction and paint crews tackled the Kramer home in Warren to help give their home a well earned upgrade.  The project entailed a large amount of new siding, replacing exterior doors and trim, and a completely new color palette! The home's natural architecture shined through with the change to  a much lighter palette: a slate gray with a hint of blue, gray trim, and deep rich blue doors.  When it was all said and done VT Pro, was glad to turn over a completely new looking home to the Kramers!

Duke Farm in Fayston, Vermont

VT Pro made a quick visit to the Duke Farm in Fayston to take care of failing hardy board siding, flashing, and pillars.  The Duke's have arguably the most amazing view in the entire valley!

Faux-wood grained metal door

The entrance of your home says a lot about you and sets the tone for the rest of your home. According to Feng Shui we can define the energy of our living space according to the color of the door and the energy it gives off to those coming in, or passing by. Here is a faux project in which we took the customer's metal composite door and turned it into a work of art using a range of oil paints,  a wood graining tool, and a urethane finish.

California launches $1 Billion LEAD Lawsuit against Sherwin Williams, etc.

California is setting a legal precedent for the rest of the country to follow as they pursue legal action against the Sherwin Williams company, and others, for knowingly distributing and promoting a dangerous product in lead paint across the nation since the 1900's.  This is an issue that will continue to be at the forefront of both painting and construction based projects in the state of Vermont as pre-1978 homes deteriorate and are in need of work.  As a home owner or parent, it is imporant to take the time to familiarize yourself with the issue at hand in order to protect your loved ones and future generations; to read more here is the article from the Huffington Post.

Below the Vermont Pro paint crew is working hard to remediate the lead paint from the Allen/Seguin home in Moretown.

Parker House

Jim, Kristin, and Skylar recently had a newly designed and built home that the VT PRO paint crew proudly capped off with a great paint job!

While building was in process Jim and Kirsten met with us to come up with a color scheme that matched the country/modern look that they wanted to achieve.  For the main body of the house we did the siding in Phelidelphia Cream (a historic color from Ben Moore), trim in Chalk White, and the ceiling of the deck in Natural stain.  The garage and apartment was done in solid-body Barn Red, trim in Chalk White, and the garage doors were hit with Cedar Stain, along with the doors.  The chimney and vertical soffit board siding on the basement level and first floor of the house received Seagull Gray in solid-stain

Thanks Parkers!  More exciting projects with the Parkers are in the works and will be featured soon.
